Hello all.
I have a huge english paper to be writing on
Pride and Prejudice a book, which I greatly
intended to read, but never read. So here I am, cliff notes in hand, attempting to write about motifs in this book. I hardly know what a motif is, yet i have to make something up that may sound insightful into the world of motifs. This should be interesting. It is now 10:34. I have not done any homework, except a meager poem, a sad card, and um...something else? I can't remember.
Today was insane. I went to Boston with Jenn to see WICKED!!! Jealous?! haha anyway. So we get there, and we're like.."lets enter in the ticket lottery" (The ticket lottery---for those who don't know, allows the winners to have front row seats for $25 bucks each!) We had tickets, but we were like, hey--if we win, we sell our tickets and take the front seats. So, while waiting for a half hour before they draw the names, we decided to bop ourselves over to Dunkin Donuts. Was that a bad idea if i've ever had a bad idea. This creepy ex-marine came up to us and started chatting it up. and I just nodded and responded with one word answers, while Jenn got scared. ha That was so weird. So, we left, didn't get any coffee. :( which made everyone sad because we were so cold.
Then, we get back to the theatre and they announce that they are going to draw the lottery names. The names are getting drawn, and there are about two spots left, and we've given up hope by now, we know that we've both lost and its just too late. But then. As though God himself knew that we needed a boost after the creepy marine. I hear "Amy.....(Slow) Mc.Mc. McGuire?" Immediately I look up and raise my hand "AMY MCGUIRK!?!?" I yell, hoping that there isn't another woman in the room named Amy McGuire, and then the man goes "yeah!" and jenn says "YEAH!!!" and i say "YEAHHH!!!!!!" So i run up and recieve my two pins that say "I won the Wicked Lottery!" and hand one to jenn, and keep one for myself. At this point I am happily smiling because I never win anything, and I just won jenn and myself front row tickets.
Um..what were we going to do with out other tickets? We say "Huh- what'll we do with these?"...a man named..uh Greg, comes over and says 'Hey! You sellin those tickets?" we say "yeh!" he says "Face-value!?" "YEAH!" "be right back..lemme run to the bank!" SWEET 90$ in each of our pockets. So we happily bop over to "Know Fat" Some creepy health food place for celebration which included a flavored water and a cookie. But, our tickets that we won were seperated. Oh well, they were front row, screw sitting with eachother.
We get there and are talking on our cells to eachother as we sit across the theatre. Then i start chatting with a nice man in front of us who tells me that he wanted to trade seats with the woman who was sitting in front of him. Then, she could trade with Jenn. This was a very complicated story that I will not go into because, its hard when one is saying it, i can't even imagine typing it all out.
It worked.
:)
We saw wicked! AMAZING!!! Then went to find the stage door. We found it, and then saw Glinda as she was running to dinner, and we yelled out her name and she said hello. So that was cool. Then we saw Julie (who played Elphie) and we took a picture with her, and she signed my playbill. :)
What a day.
